Description of the subject

Phosphate glasses are technologically essential because they generally have higher thermal expansion coefficients, lower glass transition temperature, and higher electrical conductivity than silicate and borate glasses. Fast ionic conduction glasses have been widely studied for technologically critical applications such as solid electrolytes in high-energy-density electrochemical generators, particularly solid-state rechargeable batteries.
